Job description, responsibilities and duties
We are seeking a seasoned professional with extensive experience in overseeing a sizable Outward Reinsurance Administration (ORA) function. The ideal candidate will possess a highly collaborative working style, capable of swiftly establishing trust and fostering strong working relationships with key stakeholders, particularly within the Outward Reinsurance Placement & Operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team responsible for Outward Reinsurance Administration, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including the Outward Reinsurance Placement & Operations teams, to develop and implement globally consistent processes.
- Operate on an end-to-end (E2E) basis, overseeing all aspects of ORA operations from inception to execution.
- Drive the transition of ORA operations within a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) environment, leveraging previous experience in similar settings.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, with a particular focus on Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of senior-level experience in running an ORA function, preferably within the insurance or reinsurance industry.
- Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams in a collaborative environment.
- Experience working in a BPO environment is highly desirable, with a demonstrated ability to manage transitions effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
